Cloud Transition Lead

As a Cloud Transition Lead, you’ll be highly capable and forward-thinking, ready to guide the organisation through a critical phase of digital transformation. This is a pivotal role, overseeing the migration of our IT infrastructure, applications, and services to the cloud and then their ongoing management, while ensuring minimal disruption to business operations and maintaining the highest standards of security, compliance, and performance, working alongside project teams.

You’ll bring a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to managing cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll lead a team of experienced professionals and work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver a seamless transition to a cloud-first operating model.

You’ll need to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week and the remaining time you’ll be able to work remotely.

Your role covers management and optimisation of our Azure cloud infrastructure, defining and implementing cloud migration strategies, and ensuring robust governance and security frameworks are in place. Your leadership will be instrumental in embedding DevOps practices, leveraging automation, and driving operational efficiency across our technology estate.

To be successful in this role, you’re:

  • Experienced in leading complex cloud migrations across platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud
  • Skilled in applying DevOps methodologies and tools to streamline delivery and operations
  • Confident in managing cloud infrastructure with a strong understanding of security, compliance, and governance
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to align technology solutions to organisational goals and value
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality services that support residents and communities
