Resident Assistant (Zero Hour)

Weekly hours 20-25 hours a week, rolling rota - 7 days a week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resident Assistant to join our team at Sedley Court on a zero hours basis. Based at our Cambridge office, this role is key in helping to ensure the safety, security, and wellbeing of all resident students, as well as supporting the general upkeep and maintenance of the building.

As a Resident Assistant, you’ll live on-site and play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for residents.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Scheme Manager with tenant inductions at the start of their tenancy and departure processes at the end.
  • Being available weekly to assist with arrivals and departures.
  • Helping maintain the cleanliness of communal areas during shifts.
  • Promoting the scheme during university open days.
  • Overseeing building maintenance and resident welfare while on duty.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic role while making a positive impact on the student community.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at Anglia Ruskin University.
  • Willingness to cover staff sickness or absence at short notice.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent time management.

This role will require an Enhanced DBS check.

This role is for up to 25 hours a week Monday-Friday between 5AM-7AM and weekends between 9AM-9PM
