As our Resident Engagement Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in leading and implementing digital, strategic, regional and local resident engagement opportunities across Peabody's diverse communities. Your expertise in embedding the Transparency, Influence, and Accountability Standard will be key in ensuring that residents are actively involved in shaping services, policies, and resident-led projects. You’ll work with residents across our 108,000 geography to embed a truly resident-first culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading resident engagement, co-design, consultation, and scrutiny initiatives to ensure residents influence decision-making at all levels.
• Developing and delivering Peabody’s Resident Engagement Strategy, ensuring resident feedback leads to tangible improvements.
• Managing a high-performing team of four Local Engagement Leads and one Strategic Engagement Lead, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Building strong relationships with residents and key stakeholders, including local authorities, community groups, and other housing associations.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, particularly the Transparency, Influence & Accountability Standard.
• Overseeing engagement budgets and ensuring financial efficiency in delivering high-impact initiatives.
• Representing Peabody externally, including deputising as the G15 chair for resident engagement and networking with sector peers.
• Developing innovative engagement methods to reach seldom-heard voices across our 220,000 residents.
What We’re Looking For:
• Extensive experience in resident engagement, scrutiny, and co-design within social housing or a similar sector.
• A strong track record of managing and motivating teams, driving performance, and fostering collaboration.
• Proven ability to influence and build trust with diverse stakeholders, including residents, leadership teams, and external partners.
• Expertise in implementing the Transparency, Influence & Accountability Standard, with solid examples of best practices in engagement.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitating resident-led initiatives.
• A resilient and adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
