Swimming Teacher

Salary £18.79 per hour
Location South East London, SE17 1AD (Darwin Court)
Contract type Temporary
Weekly hours depending on rota, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

Do you have a Swim England/STA swimming teaching qualification or equivalent overseas swimming teacher qualification? Do you understand the various swimming strokes, techniques and drills?  Do you ensure that your skills stay up to date with the latest teaching methods and swimming techniques?

If so, your outstanding swimming skills makes you our next Peabody Swimming Teacher! 

As a Swimming Teacher, you'll be energetic, self-motivated and enjoy working with children and their parents.  You'll keep students motivated and engaged but you'll also be able to adjust your teaching methods when working with student of varying abilities, including beginners, advanced swimmers and those who have special needs.  

You'll need to be able to work on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (on a rota basis).   You will not be required to work weekends!

Could it be you?

To be a success in this role, you’re:

  • a skilled swimmer.
  • a qualified swimming teacher (Swim England/STA swimming teaching qualification or equivalent).
  • able to communicate sensitively with a wide range of people and have experience of working with the public.
  • experienced in providing a great customer service.
  • flexible.
