Clerk of Works - Planned Major Projects

  • Are you able to review construction drawings and specifications?

Here at Peabody, we have an opportunity for a Clerk of Works - Planned Major Projects on a Permanent basis at our Westminster Bridge Road office. 

A bit about the role:

As a Clerk of Works - Planned Major Projects, you will oversee quality management during the construction process, helping to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with contract documents and in a safe and timely manner. 

The Planned Major Projects team manages the delivery of planned investment programmes and provides effective management for partnered and JCT contractors and consultants, procuring additional works contracts and staff resources where necessary.

Some of the key results for the role include: 

  • Undertake inspections of work in progress on sites in London and the Home Counties.  Review and report back on progress and quality.
  • Ensure that Project Managers are kept abreast of site management and any contractor performance issues.
  • Liaise with contractors, Project Managers, residents, internal and external stakeholders and agencies as required.
  • Ensure that escalations are made to the appropriate person within the contract.
  • Visit and inspect works during construction and after completion and ensure that defects are identified and remedied at the earliest opportunity, to prevent defects at later stages.

This role will require  a UK driver’s licence and access to a vehicle, and a minimum of 1 -2  days working in the Westminster Bridge Road office.
